Manaoag Hospital - Development
From the Philippines our friends, the Camillian Missionaries, always keep us informed about the progress of the Vittorino Carra Maternity and Polyclinic building.

Father Luigi writes to us:

I am happy to tell you that I have been in Manoag. Building progresses well, the enclosed pictures show it.

Everybody there is very enthusiastic and the people are eagerly waiting for the opening of the hospital. The roof’s metallic structure has already been finished, and steel plates will be laid this week. On the ground floor almost all the tiles (donated by Atlas Concorde and Florim-Floor Gres) have been laid and the second floor is also practically finished, giving the center quality touch.

Opposite the hospital there is someone already organizing everything to set up a canteen, and a Chinese man means to open a small pharmacy. The center, as it can be seen, is rising the interests of many people.

For all this we continue thanking the Lord that, through the solidarity and generosity of many friends, seems to be saying “this is My Work, not yours”. We accept the commitment of being His channels of love and hope.

In Manaoag, school will start the first week of June, and there continues to be an increasing number of students. This year, they will be more than 500. Some come from other schools, having seen or heard about St. Camillus School high quality. And there is also a great interest shown for the General Hospital and the Mother-Child Center.

Manaoag’s Virgin hears their prayers, which never forget the benefactors.

Your Names

YOUR NAMES
(To all benefactors)

We had written
your names
on the walls of our house.
But the coming rain
and the passing time
erased them.

And then,
we wrote them
on flower petals,
but the sun made them fade
and the evening wind
took them far away.

And so then,
we wrote them
in our hearts...
And neither the sun,
nor the wind,
nor the passing time
will ever erase them
